Join Megan McCormick in Poland, a country rich in beauty, folklore and remarkable history!
Arriving via the Czech border town of Czermna, Megan visits the skull-laden crypt of a church once served by a young Pope John Paul II. Then, in Wroclaw she goes hunting for :'krasnale' (dwarves), albeit of the sculpture kind. North to Kashubia, she discovers the unique Kashubian language and people before heading to the Pomeranian coast to go hunting for amber - or :'Baltic Gold'. She then explores the baroque streets of Gdansk and then takes a tour of the River Motlawa before heading to Malbork castle where she learns about the crusading Teutonic Knights.
In Gniew, Megan joins the Pomeranian regiment of Hussars in an epic battle re-enactment before heading east to Ketzrynto to explore :'Wolf's Lair,' the first Eastern Front military headquarters of the Nazis in World War II. She then kayaks the tributaries of the Augustow canal before finishing her journey with a trek to the Belarussian border.
